Meet Your Origins Health Team

Hi there! I'm Jean McGinnis, a physician assistant and the owner of Origins Health. I graduated from  PA school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2004. I have spent the last 20+ years working as a PA in family practice, urgent care, hospital medicine, and emergency medicine. I have seen all the frustrations the traditional healthcare system brings with it.

I'm passionate about providing a healthcare space where time and insurance coverage are not an issue. Combining my life experience, work history, and passion to practice medicine in a different way, Origins Health is named from a desire to return to practicing medicine the way it started: as a personal, in-depth discussion between the patient and their healthcare provider. 

Origins Health is focused on the "origins" of the disease process rooted in poor diet, lack of exercise, too much stress, not enough sleep, and more. In dealing with the root causes, our goal is to limit the need for new medications and expand the chances of long-term healthy changes.
